While we feel we have the best web development team anywhere near this area, it’s our process allows us to continuously produce great websites. This is how we roll…
This is where we ask questions, do research, and try to get an understanding of what separates you from your competitors. We also take a hard look at your specific set of requirements which could range from job postings to online payment processing. We have found that many times the client only has a vague idea of what they want out of their new website. Asking questions and doing our homework tends to give everyone a better understanding of the website that is about to be built.
This is where we map out what we are building, who we are building it for, and how we are going to build it. We decide on which content management system we are going to use, where the website will need to be hosted, and what other services and tools we may need to draw from in order to complete the project.
Besides cost, the question of “what should my website look like?” is usually the second biggest thing on our client’s mind. The reason this is item #3 in our design process is because without properly performing the first two steps any attempt to answer this question is only a guess, and usually not a very good one at that!
In the design phase, we sketch out wireframe diagrams and do some back and forth until we get something that we feel looks right. After the wireframes are complete, we then begin putting together the actual graphical design elements that will make up the site. At the completion of this phase, you will have a pretty darn good idea what your website is going to look.
This is usually where the bulk of our time is spent, building the actual html and css code that will make up the website. We also build out the content management system in this phase (if one is to be used). Then the website is populated with the text and photographs that will be on your website when it goes live.
Once the site has been developed, a final review takes place to check for spelling, grammar, & broken links. Once the site successfully passes inspection, it goes live on the Internet for all the world to see.
After the site is launched we don’t have to be strangers. In fact, in all probability you’ll notice something that needs changing after the site goes live and the final tab has been settled. That’s OK because we are only a phone call away.
