What’s happening at Strategy6

You may have noticed that the blog has been dead lately. I make no excuses as it isn’t for lack of time but motivation. After my wife leaves for work and takes the kids to daycare I usually hit the ground running with work and keep going until they arrive home. By the time the kids are put to bed the last thing I want to do is hop back on the computer to update my blog. Usually if I am on the computer late at night I’m playing catch-up with a project that is behind schedule.

At the first of every year I usually send out an email to clients past and present with a little update on how things are going at Strategy6. With the year half over, I thought I’d provide a quick update on my blog.

The past six months have been the busiest they have ever been. Between the e-commerce side of my company and the web development and consulting work I’ve been running pretty hard. Probably the biggest news to report is that I’m heavily involved with the launch of what everyone on the team hopes will become a fairly sizable technology tutoring business that focuses on the needs of baby boomers. MyCellPhoneTutor.com is a company that will provided DVD-based instructional videos for boomers wanting to know how to use their smartphone. Launch day is tomorrow, so if you are in Charlotte, NC, I hope you’ll be on the lookout for our commercials! Currently, we provide an iPhone Tutor, iPad Tutor, and an Android Tutor DVD.

Also, I am developing another website for Strategy6 called DevSmac. The name is somewhat borrowed from a former job, even though my concept and the name of the organization I am borrowing the name from couldn’t be more different. I wish I could tell you more, but it’s one of those “I can’t believe someone isn’t doing this already” type websites so I’m keeping it close to my chest for know. I’m looking towards a closed-beta launch sometime in late fall.
